10 Tips to Wind Down At the End of The Work Day 

Hey Dolls, as a Luxury Branding and PR Agency we know that the life of a doll doing business can get very stressful.  But, we also know that in order to put your best foot forward in the business world it all starts with taking care of yourself.  So, in lieu of National Relaxation Day today we thought it would be fitting to share a list of tips to help you recharge after a long workday!


1. Get Comfortable

One of the best ways to switch your mindset over in relaxation mode after work is to change immediately when you get home.  By making an effort to change into more comfortable clothing you are essentially taking off your day and telling your body that it is time to move into a new headspace.

2. Hit the Gym

We know what you’re thinking, you just worked all day, but, getting a sweat going during stressful times can really be the tension release your body and mind are craving. When you exercise, your brain releases chemicals called endorphins, which help relieve pain and stress.  They also cause feelings of happiness and well-being.  Cardio isn’t sounding too bad after all!


3. Take a warm shower or bath

Whether you’re just getting home from work or just finished your killer workout, a steamy shower or bath are awesome options to help you loosen up.  While you are in the shower or bath try to make a conscious effort to be aware of your breathing also.

5. Read a Book

Reading is a great way to transport to somewhere else and forget about the stress that is present in your life.  Making an effort to read right before bed can also help your mind and body unwind while also making you extra sleepy!

4. Get Fresh Air

After a long day in an office, it’s normal to crave sunshine and fresh air.  We suggest trying things like sitting on your back porch, taking your furry friend for a walk through the neighborhood, and watching the sunset.

6. Grab the Remote

Probably one of the most common methods of relaxation is watching television.  We agree, sometimes all you need is to curl up on the couch and watch your favorite movie, Netflix show, or browse through the channels on cable. 7. Unplug

Easier said than done right!? At times,  because we live in a digital world, this task might seem impossible but, by disconnecting and plugging into your life outside of the office it will help release anxiety and stress.  If you are anything like the PR Dolls then your brain is constantly on the clock.  Nowadays, it’s easy to bring your work home with you when it is literally at the palms of your hands, but, by making a conscious effort to turn your screens off you will feel your anxiety and stress diminish.


8. Nourish

After a long day of being a Boss Doll you probably have worked up quite the appetite.  Try relaxing by cooking yourself a yummy meal or better yet ordering take out!

9. Indulge

Treat yourself! Sometimes we all need to take the edge off with something sweet or our favorite a glass of Champagne. As you’ve heard us say before we always strive to live our best champagne infused life.

10. Catch Some Zzz’s

At there end of the day, there is nothing more tranquil than laying in bed and knowing you’re going to get optimal beauty sleep.

Here at POSH PR®, we understand the high amounts of stress that go along with being a busy full working agency.  But, we also know the importance of taking a step back and withdrawing ourselves from our work sometimes in order to recharge for the next day.  After all, if you do not feel your best you will not work your best.  We hope this list gives you some great ideas for how you are going to be spending your evening in honor of the holiday.  Be sure to let us know how you dolls are celebrating!
