Holiday Hashtag Tips

Hey there, Boss Dolls™! We can hardly believe we’re even saying this, but HAPPY DECEMBER!  Where did the year go?!  It’s crazy to think about how fast this year has been soaring by, but we still have one more month to make it happen in 2019!

I don’t think it’s any secret that social media has truly changed the face of business as we know it.  From Instagram posts and Facebook groups to Pinterest boards and Twitter feeds, your engagement on social media is what helps get you and your brand noticed in this technologically-savvy world.  Here at POSH PR®, we know that a well-curated social media strategy can be what makes the difference for our clients.  In this season of giving, we decided to compile a list of all the hashtags you should be using this month to maximize your social media campaigns!  We’re even throwing a few hashtag tips your way to help you finish the year off strong!  Can you tell #theprdolls were trying to make it to the top of Santa’s Nice List?!

Alright Dolls, we know you’ve seen all our hashtags before like #poshpr #theprdolls #thecarolinedoll #bossdoll #fashioninfused #girlboss just to name a few. But why do we use these hashtags when it comes to our brand’s social media?  Simply said, hashtags make it easier for other people to find your social media content.  Using hashtags is an easy way to boost views, expand your reach on social media, and stay on top of the trending topics.  We know how much time you spend curating that perfect Instagram feed, so of course we want people to find you and love you, just like your Business BFF™ does!  With the holiday season in full swing, there’s no better time than now to get your content out there and in front of the right people!  Here are some hashtags that you can be using all December long to stay visible and engaged on your social media accounts!

Now we've given you a few hashtags to use, but don't forget about who YOUR audience is!  For example, if you own a Beauty Bar in Richmond, Virginia, your hashtags might be #holidaybeautybar or #rvaholidaybeauty.  Hashtags should make it easier for others to find you so make sure to use them to help potential clients find your brand.  One thing we also like to do at POSH PR® is list our hashtag in our Instagram bio.  Using a hashtag in your Instagram bio that is clickable is a great way to let the world know what you're all about!

Now how about those hashtag tips we promised you, Dolls....

1. Write It Down

#theprdolls always start by sitting down and putting on paper the searchable key words that our clients might use in a search bar to find us. Our key words might be boutique PR agency, women entrepreneurs, fashion infused, and Dolls doing business. Now turn those keywords into hashtags! Focus on the things your clients would be searching to find you. This will make it easy for your ideal clients to locate you and your brand!

2. Call Out Your Location

POSH PR® serves clients that are worldwide, but our office is located in Richmond, Virginia. By pointing out your location, you'll be able to connect with locals in your community more easily. Clients are always searching for people in their area that they can work with. Why not make it easier for them by letting them know where they can find you?!

3. Don't Be Generic

Using generic hashtags like #love or #december will make it hard for your ideal client to find you. Everyone is using those hashtags and your post will get lost in the endless feed. Be focused on who you'd like to attract. Make it easier for them to find you!

Wishing you a December to remember, sweet Dolls!
