Behind the Scenes: Harper Ellis Content Week!
Have you ever wondered exactly what happens behind the pink doors at POSH PR®? When you see all of the pink and glitter on Instagram, you might think it’s all fun and games over here! In reality, Instagram is merely a snippet the story! What REALLY happens behind these Valentino- inspired doors? We’ll show you!
Last week, we hosted one of our fabulous clients and Business BFFs®, Harper Ellis Hair Co., for three full days of content creation, online course filming, product launch prep, and so much more! Terra even brought the first tiny visitor to the office, Baby Fletcher! He came dressed in Gucci, of course.
After flying into Richmond from Arkansas, Terra, Rachel, Britton, and Fletcher joined Caroline for a quick dinner before checking into their hotel and resting up for our first big day of photoshoots. As always, we had some surprises waiting at the hotel for everyone! When you’re visiting #theprdolls, no detail goes unnoticed!
DAY ONE
For our first day of shooting, our Creative Content Doll had prepared FIVE unique sets for Terra and Rachel! Before their visit, she worked closely with Terra and Rachel to share the direction for the shoot and plan their wardrobe, hair, and makeup. Our clients always come with big suitcases!
In each set, our Creative Content Doll and Photography Doll worked together to get tons of great photos and video clips. We are always planning how we can use this content for social media, Reels, blogs, email campaigns, and so much more!
Since it was Cinco de Mayo, we surprised everyone with lunchtime margaritas served by everyone’s Bartender BFF, Arthur! We also brought in a taco buffet for a little midday treat!
Once we wrapped on photo and video later that day, it was time to say “see you soon” to our guests and prep for day two’s sets!
DAY TWO
The PR Dolls were back in the office bright and early to work with our Video Dolls on some Harper Ellis course content! Casey Hicks, the salon marketing guru behind Harper Ellis, flew in the night before to record his portion of the Harper Ellis Digital Suite. We created a set for him, and Casey nailed his video in one smooth take!
Once Casey’s video was complete, we moved on to creating some gorgeous photo and video for Xo Britt as well as a purple bath tutorial for our blonde babes!
By lunchtime, it was time to eat some Chick-fil-a as quickly as we could before our models for the Xo Britt Bazaar Live Shopping experience and photoshoot! We had secured 11 models whose hair matched each color the two Xo Britt clip-in hair extensions collections. Organizing that many models with such specific looks in mind is no easy feat, but all of the girls were incredible! After makeup, each model had her clip-ins installed by Terra and one of her ELITE Stylists, Kayla, and we were ready to shoot!
At 8PM sharp, it was time to start our Instagram Live Shopping experience with Brittany Aldean herself! We were all breathing sighs of relief when Brittany’s wifi held strong — there were bad storms in her area! With the help of our Video Dolls, the IGTV went so smoothly, and we loved surprising all of the viewers with discounts and giveaways!
Day Two was a late one for the PR Dolls as we cleaned up our confetti and got ready for the third and final day of content creation!
DAY THREE
Our final day was all about VIDEO! Harper Ellis will be launching some fun new products and classes soon, so that meant a full day of course filming and promo video production! Terra has become an absolute PRO at being on camera, so it was fun final day with the Harper Ellis crew!
For one final surprise, we brought in the incredibly talented Maviii for some tunes and charcuterie. We think Baby Fletch really enjoyed his first concert!
So there you have it, friends! It’s hard to put this amount of love, preparation, creativity, and hard work into words, but we hope it gives a little insight into what we do here at POSH PR®!
