Why Networking Like a Boss is Important
Happy Monday, Dolls! We hope you had a productive work week and a relaxing weekend. Our Boss Doll + CEO, Caroline, and The PR Dolls went into the weekend with our hearts so full of happiness! We are so grateful to have ended our week with our Posh Social Summit! We were able to reconnect with like-minded Boss Dolls who strive to elevate their social media game (but stay tuned, that’s for next weeks blog!)
Since POSH PR® is a Public Relations business, we are constantly networking like a Boss! Networking is your prime resource when it comes to just about anything. You just never know who you’ll meet and connect with and what opportunities those relationships will bring.
Of course, not everyone enjoys mingling and talking with new people — we totally get that. But it is crucial to your success to get out and network, not matter form you’re using! Nowadays, you can attend virtual networking events, join online discussions, or participate in Facebook groups (just like The PR Dolls Facebook group! We would love for you to join us here!) Our point is Dolls… let your inner self shine and new opportunities may be just around the corner! Your connections are so powerful because sometimes it’s who you know, not what you know. Here are some reasons why networking should be important to you AND your business.
Find New Opportunities
When you network with someone, it truly can lead you to a pretty pink door. Any new contact you make could spark your newest idea, help you meet another group of like-minded people, or lead you to your next opportunity. You might even find a new client! You just never know where a new relationship could lead, so keep your mind open and be willing to chat with ANYONE!
2. Grow Long Lasting Relationships
When you network with other link-minded people, you’re going to want to be in that environment more often than not. That’s the amazing part when it comes to relationships — they help shape you into someone you’ve always wanted to be! Take those small talks and turn them into big talks! They can go a long way.
3. Develop New Skills
Once you connect with someone who gets you, they will most likely teach you a few things here and there! Jump on those opportunities and truly engage yourself in learning a new set of skills. This is a free resource, so take advantage of it (but be considerate, of course!)
4. Build Your Self Confidence
When you put yourself out there and meet new people, your self confidence is going to grow beyond your wildest dreams! For instance, those who have met and engaged with our Boss Doll + CEO, Caroline, often feel special and powerful because her energy and belief in you is so inspiring! You want to keep networking and meeting new people until you find someone whose positive energy is contagious!

This also goes out to our upcoming college graduates! If you Dolls are reading this, we encourage you to network NOW! Since Zoom university has taken over, networking is more important now than ever! Engage with your professors and colleagues — it will set you up for success! At times, we catch ourselves reaching back out to our colleagues from college, so definitely keep them in your contact list!
